THis bluetooth works very well, I used to have one years ago and the battery died but could not find a way to replace battery. Tried a newer Motorola H700 and other brands too but found most people complained that I sounded muffled on other end.HS820 works very well on hearing and sending, not as convient shutting off or turning on as a flip bluetooth but it has very good range > 30' and does not distort when you walk away from it. Highly recommend
need one on one help. fits weird on ear so i don't use it and use a headset instead.
I only bought a Bluetooth so it would be easier to talk on the phone when I'm in my car. The sound quality is good. I've had it for over a month and still have no complaints. The ear-piece fits fine. I always leave it on and so far battery life seems pretty good - I only have to charge it every 3-4 days. So overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend to others.
I just got this unit for the holidays. My cell phone won't even recognize it. I am happy with my first BT headset.
My cell phone, laptop, and palm pilot all recognized and were able to pair up with the unit. Over the duration of a few months it would take several attempts to get the head set to connect to my cell phone, but it eventually would. So far, so good.
--UPDATE - My headset has recently died. The earpiece volume could be a tad louder. I had to turn my stereo off so I could hear the person on the other line.
A few months ago I got a Treo 700 and now it will connect at all. Now I just have an expensive paper weight.
Unfortunately it doesn't)Voice Quality - I think the HS820 works better with the 6230 than V551. Also there is a way to turn it off before a call. Strengths:Good volume and clarity on both sides.Simple functionLong battery lifeWeaknesses:Crackling with weak BT connection, rare connection drop.I paired the HS820 with Motorola V551 which I returned and Nokia 6230 which I have now. Look and Feel - Its pretty nice and looks space age. Have to be careful while wearing jackets or hood, especially if your ears are numb cause of cold or somethin. Good clarity, voice dialing works flawlessly and can even hear MP3 and video sound through the headset. It stops blinking when no activity is detected for 5 mins.
People with smaller earlobes could have a problem. (I returned V551 for wanting the calling card functionality hoping 6230 has it. Fitting - Could have been better but is not bad at all. Pairing is easy and effortless with both phones. The feel is of a very good make and does not seem a cheap work at all.The Blue Light - Some people have mentioned in their reviews that the blue light blinks continously but its not true. I consider myself having an average sized earlobe an need some adjustment from time to time. But this is probably true for other headsets too.
